Brazil – Rare Earth Elements
Verity Resources holds a portfolio of rare earth elements (REE), gallium and lithium exploration licences in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, through a joint venture arrangement. The licences sit within and adjacent to the Poços de Caldas Alkaline Complex in south Minas Gerais – one of Brazil’s most mineralised rare earth provinces — as well as the Lithium Valley district of north Minas Gerais.
Pimenta discovery
Recent auger drilling at the Pimenta prospect has intersected REE mineralisation at grades up to 2.58% TREO (Total Rare Earth Oxides), with approximately 25% comprising high-value magnet rare earths — neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium. Exceptional gallium values up to 89 g/t Ga₂O₃ have also been identified, alongside significant titanium (up to 9.26% TiO₂) and zirconium.
The mineralisation is hosted in allanite-bearing granite, a style analogous to American Rare Earths’ Halleck Creek deposit (2.63 billion tonnes at approximately 3,300 ppm TREO). An auger drilling programme has been announced to test the depth, scale and resource definition potential of the Pimenta discovery. The Caldera licences sit in proximity to Meteoric Resources (ASX: MEI) and Viridis Mining and Metals (ASX: VMM), providing comparable reference points for the REE potential of the alkaline complex.
Lithium Valley — north Minas Gerais
Verity also holds exploration licences in the Lithium Valley district of north Minas Gerais — one of South America’s most active lithium exploration corridors, hosting multiple lithium prospects and attracting significant international investment. These licences represent early-stage exploration optionality within a proven lithium province.
